Need a hand with Harold?

How do I play?

Swipe to steer Harold (or use the arrow keys on an iPad keyboard). Eat the letters of today's word in the right order, using the clue above the board. Wrong letters, walls, rocks and Harold's own tail each cost a life, and you have five.

Today's puzzle won't load

Slitherword needs an internet connection to get each day's word. Check your connection and tap Try again. Once a puzzle has loaded, you can finish it offline.

I closed the app in the middle of a round

No problem. Harold keeps your place: reopen the app and tap Continue today's word. Your letters, lives and time carry on from where you left off.

When does the next word come out?

A new word arrives at midnight in your time zone. The result screen shows a countdown.

I bought something but it's not showing

Open the Shop (the bag button on the home screen) and tap Restore at the top. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with. Purchases also work for Family Sharing members if it's turned on.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request one.
