Privacy policy

Last updated October 22, 2026

Slitherword is made by Let's Tech. We built it to collect as little as possible. This policy explains what the app does with information, in plain terms.

What we don't collect

Slitherword has no accounts and no sign-in. It doesn't show ads, use analytics or tracking tools, or share information with data brokers. We don't collect your name, email address, contacts, location or device identifiers.

Getting the daily puzzle

To give you the right puzzle for your day, the app sends your device's time zone (for example, "America/Los_Angeles") to our puzzle server, which runs on Cloudflare. As with any internet connection, your IP address is visible to Cloudflare while the request is handled. We don't store these requests or use them to identify you.

Information kept on your device

Your results, streaks, any round in progress, and the skins and accessories you've chosen are stored only on your device. We can't see them. Deleting the app deletes them.

Purchases

In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never receive your payment details. Apple tells the app which items you own so they can be unlocked and restored. Apple's privacy policy covers your purchase information.

Sharing your results

Nothing is shared unless you tap a share button. When you do, the result text and image go to the app you choose (for example Messages or Instagram), and that app's own privacy policy applies. If you share to TikTok, Snapchat or Instagram, Slitherword asks for permission to add the result image to your photo library. It can only add photos, not see them.

Game Center

If you're signed in to Apple's Game Center, your Slitherword scores and achievements are sent to Game Center so you can see leaderboards and compare with friends. That's handled by Apple under its own privacy policy; we don't receive it separately. You can turn Game Center off in your device's Settings.

Children

Slitherword doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
